She received a PhD in art therapy from University of Hertfordshire in 2006.\u00a0The artwork of \u00d3ttarsd\u00f3ttir has been exhibited in group and solo shows in a variety of galleries and museums including: The Museum of Akureyri, The Museum of Isafjordur, Reykjavik Art Museum,\u00a0The Faroe Islands National Art Museum,\u00a0Edsvik Kunstall in Stockholm and Lorgo das Artes in Brazil.Along with being a practicing artist \u00d3ttarsd\u00f3ttir is also an art therapist and she has thought art therapy at University of Akureyri, Iceland Academy of the Arts, University of Hertfordshire in England and at the Association of Art Therapist in Rumania.\u00a0Unnur conducts research at the Reykjavik Academy and she\u00a0has written and published a book chapter and several articles about art therapy in Iceland and internationally.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Unnur \u00d3ttarsd\u00f3ttir (1962) is an Icelandic artist who received a MA degree in fine art from the Iceland Academy of the Arts in 2015.
